In Support Of: Fork In The Road
Fork in the Road is an extension of Burlington School Food Project’s existing hands-on gardening and cooking programs. The heart of the mobile restaurant is a culinary job training program that employs students from both Burlington High School and Burlington Technical Center. The food truck is also integrated into academic classes such as business and culinary arts.

"In 2014, after two weeks of hospitality and kitchen skills training, our crew opened shop on June 28th at Oakledge Park in Burlington. FITR employees vended all over town for ten weeks, making appearances at music festivals, local food events, private functions, and repeat street vending locals. The FITR management team watched as these nine employees grew and expanded their skills over the summer. Major touchstones were: increased personal confidence, work-place professionalism, and teamwork. Help us support this amazing project!!!" – Sarah Heusner & Jenn McGowan of Burlington Farm to School Team
